We lost an eternal diva Sridevi in February 2018 in a tragic death. Leaving her family and fans in an inconsolable state. Her last release 'Mom' will mark yet another milestone, the movie is set to release in China on the occasion of Mother's Day according to Chinese calendar. 

In the recent past an announcement of the movie set to entertain the audience in China grabbed headlines. Confirming it further movie critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "New release date... Sridevi's final major film #Mom will now release in #China on 10 May 2019... Zee Studios International release... Poster for local audience."

Head of Zee Studios International, Vibha Chopra said, "We wanted to pick the perfect date for the release of such a special film like Mom in China, which is a huge market and has great potential for the film to do well. As a tribute to all mothers, we have chosen May 10 to release this riveting film in China."

The actress was awarded Best Actress National Award which was received by family and A. R. Rahman took home an award for 'Best Background Score' for the movie at the 65th National Film Awards.
