(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kristin Davis says it doesnt matter if theres another Sex and the City movie, since the characters will live on forever as the TV show is repeated so much.
Sex and the City started as an American television series, which followed the life of writer-and-fashion-fan Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, and her friends Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York. It was so successful it spawned two movies; with fans hoping a third might be in the offing.
Kristin portrayed Charlotte, and says she is unsure whether another big screen outing will occur. We talk about it unofficially, amongst ourselves but I have no offer but there's no script. We are all doing other things, which is healthy and good, she explained. I think its a positive experience to go off and do other things then we get to come back hopefully and if not well get to live on forever on E!. Were on there every day.
There has been a lot of talk about a prequel to the show and movies recently, with Blake Lively having to deny she has been cast as a young Carrie. Sarah Jessica has already said she isnt sure about the idea, and Kristin feels the same.
Everyone here [13th Annual Costume Designer Guild Awards on Tuesday] is talking about the prequel, but I dont know that anyone else in the world is talking about the prequel. Im not into the prequel, I dont know why... I dont understand that, she told Extra.
We love what we do and have been very lucky to be able to do it for a long time. We love to work together and I would love to, Im pretty sure all my co-stars would love to, well see what happens. Every time we have thought it was over, it hasn't over. Thats a wonderful thing because we love each other.
Kim Cattrall portrayed maneater Samantha in Sex and the City, while straight-talking lawyer Miranda was played by Cynthia Nixon. (C) Cover Media
