Sri Balaji once an associate of filmmaker Sri Balaji makes his debut directorial with the movie 'Kullanari Koottam'. The title maybe quite different and sounds like the movie must be an action thriller or somewhat like an espionage concept. But actor Vishnu denies them as baseless rumor as he comes up with a surprising statement that it's a full length family entertainer set in backdrops of Madurai. When filmmaker Sri Balaji narrated the story to Vishnu, the actor was taken back as he says, “When the word 'Madurai' was the first approach, I was taken back requesting not to make such movies as it has become a hackneyed concept. But soon he came up with a different story saying that it's a beautiful love story and will prove to be a decent family entertainer.” The film is scheduled to hit screens this week.
