(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga says her whole life is theatre because she's a "passion-aholic".

The 25-year-old songstress, who is famed for her eccentric antics and headline-grabbing fashion choices, insists working hard doesn't make her a workaholic, it just shows how passionate she is about her music.

The American confesses she lives her whole life as if she is on stage.

"I'm a passion-aholic. I'm really passionate about my music, I'm passionate about the visuals and the shows. I'm passionate about my performance pieces. I do say that my whole life is theatre, and it's true," she said in an interview with BBC Breakfast.

Gaga still can't believe how much her life has changed in recent years. She can still remember the early days of her career when no-one understood her.

"Do you know what it was like doing interviews in the UK three years ago? Anywhere in the world! Everybody thought I was so weird, What's with the hat? You've got too much make-up on. Why are your songs like this? Your videos are weird.' It is so funny three years later to have people saying to me, I can't believe you were bullied,'" she explained.

Gaga recently topped the Forbes annual list of the 100 most powerful celebrities. Despite her highly-successful career since entering the charts with her debut album The Fame in 2008, the singer says her life wasn't always so fulfilling.

"When I was a kid it was awful. I was so into theatre and so into music and I never fit in with the in-crowd. In a lot of ways I'm still the underdog," she added. (C) Cover Media
