(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga is heading to Hollywood to launch an acting career, according to reports.

The 25-year-old controversial singer has apparently been receiving a ton of scripts over the past year after she hinted at her interest in appearing on the big screen.

She is said to have enlisted her mother Cynthia Germanotta to help her go through all the potential projects and choose the right one for her.

"Gaga loves films and this is the next step for her. Stacks of offers have come in and she hasn't had time to take a look until now," a source told Britain's The Sun newspaper.

"It's really important her first film is good as it will set the benchmark for future work."

Gaga will be releasing one more album before the end of the year and then she will focuses more on her burgeoning acting career. (C) Cover Media
