(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lauryn Hill has given birth to a baby boy after a challenging delivery.

The former Fugees star welcomed her sixth child on Saturday but a source told Black Celebrity Kids website that the singer had a scare due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around the baby's neck.

The 36-year-old only announced she was pregnant during a show in Detroit back in June to add to her other five children she has with reggae legend Bob Marley's son Rohan Marley.

"She had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy," the insider told the site.

There is still speculation over who the father of her newborn is after Rohan claimed he was not the father of the new baby.

When asked by a Houston Chronicle reporter via a Twitter exchange if it was true he was not married to Lauryn and she was pregnant with someone else's child Rohan was clear on how he felt on the matter.

"That is correct until I say out of my mouth to the contrary," he said.

The new mother had enjoyed major success with the group The Fugees before winning five Grammy Awards for her critically acclaimed solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. (C) Cover Media
