The actress-and-singer is now well known for her performances as Rachel Berry in the popular US series.

She is a massive fan of the veteran singer, and has spent hours dreaming of the perfect role on the programme for her.

That [a cameo] would be great she would be amazing! I think she could be the health teacher or something. Maybe the sex education teacher! Lea told new! Magazine.

The 24-year-old admits she has never met a number of her heroes, despite the fact that many of them have admitted to loving Glee. Yet Lea isnt going to rush into it as she feels it could be disastrous for her.

I havent [come face-to-face with them], but Ive thoroughly embarrassed myself in front of my idols that I have met, so Im fine with keeping them far away, she laughed.

The pretty American makes great use of her vocal talents on the lively series. Yet she says that even her own father, who nevertheless was very encouraging along with her mother, wasnt sure about this aspect of her skills.

They didnt even know I could sing. I remember my dad saying, Listen, youre funny and a great dancer but you cant sing. I never let him live it down.
