(Cover) - EN Showbiz - LeAnn Rimes decided engagement rumours had gone too far when even her mother thought she was getting married.

The singer is dating Eddie Cibrian, who she met last year on the set of TV movie Northern Lights. Their romance sparked a great deal of controversy as LeAnn was still married to Dean Sheremet, while Eddie was married to Brandi Glanville the mother of his two children.

Last week, rumours began to surface that Eddie had popped the question. LeAnn took to Twitter to furiously deny them, and is incensed that people are still inquiring about her romantic status.

I dont know how many times I have to say it. I say, 'No,' and people think we are and Im just not admitting it, she told tennessean.com. My mom is calling me thinking were engaged and I didnt tell her. It was like, Ive had it.

My parents think everyone knows but them. I had to say something.

LeAnn is now hoping the rumours have finally been put to rest so she can stop worrying about them and focus on her future. She is looking forward to spending Christmas with Eddie, saying the festive season will be totally different this year.
