(Cover) - EN Showbiz - LeAnn Rimes had counselling sessions with the ex-wife of Eddie Cibrian before they got engaged, it has been claimed.

The 28-year-old singer and 37-year-old actor have announced they are planning to get married after Eddie proposed to LeAnn at Christmas. The pair met on the set of a television movie and were both married to other people at the time. Eddies ex-wife Brandi Glanville has made no secret of the hurt she felt when her marriage ended and admits she still has a frosty relationship with her former husband.

In a bid to improve things between them for the sake of her two sons with Eddie, Brandi met LeAnn to discuss what had happened with the help of a therapist. However, the session failed to improve their difficult situation.

"I did try some counselling with LeAnn, but it did not go so well for one reason or another," Brandi told RadarOnline.com. "At times I feel like they are blaming me, although I don't really quite know why, but I understand it is a process and that our sons have to come first.

"There is still a lot of animosity but hopefully, one day, we can move through that and get to a better place."

Brandi claims Eddie and LeAnn asked her to sign a confidentiality agreement, but she refused. She is still coming to terms with the breakdown of her marriage and is finding it difficult to deal with Eddie and LeAnn.

"Divorce is very tough but going through it in public makes it really hard, she added. Eddie and LeAnn wanted me to sign a confidentiality agreement but I refused to do that as I never did anything wrong." (C) Cover Media
