Lily Allen back in hospital

6th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lily Allen is reportedly in hospital being treated for septicaemia.

The British singer was left devastated last weekend after suffering a miscarriage for the second time in two years. Lily was six months pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Sam Cooper when she lost the baby following complications.

The star had been recovering at her house in Gloucestershire when she was reportedly taken to hospital on Friday with the potentially serious blood-poisoning condition. Symptoms develop quickly and can include faintness, fever, and loss of consciousness. Septicaemia is usually treated with antibiotics.

Lily had been recuperating at home with Sam and her family, but she has been taken back to hospital and is getting the best care possible at the moment, a source told British newspaper The Daily Mail. Everyone is extremely concerned, but she is in the best place and luckily she was admitted quickly.

Just hours before she was taken to hospital, Lily thanked her fans for their well-wishes and kindness following her loss. The 25-year-old admitted her health was still suffering, but said she was grateful for the support she had received.

Im still very sick but the messages are helping me to be stronger. Thank you x x, she wrote. Thank you for all your kind messages. (C) Cover Media
