Lily Collins would never have tried to rip flowers from Britain's Princess Diana's hands had she been "more mature".
The 23-year-old actress is the daughter of British musician Phil Collins. When she was just a baby, Phil took her to meet the late member of the royal family. A photographer took a picture of Phil encouraging Lily to hand Diana a bunch of flowers, but she seemed unhappy about giving them away.
Lily insists her manners have improved a lot since the shot was taken.
"I've been told what happened was I presented her with flowers and as with any young kid [who does that] I didn't want to let them go and she took the flowers and I proceeded to pull them back," Lily laughed. "Had I been older and more mature at the time I would never have done that. But as a kid it's just anyone's game."
Lily is used to people asking what it was like to be raised by a famous artist but insists Phil has never been anything other than "dad" to her.
She is now facing a new barrage of questions, thanks to her role in Mirror Mirror. She portrays Snow White in the film, while Julia Roberts is the evil queen.
The two women got along famously and Lily was particularly impressed with how Julia raises her three children.
"Working with Julia was a complete honour. She's such an amazing woman and an amazing mother first and foremost and so incredible just to watch, just to take in everything she does not just in a scene but who she treats everyone and maintains a sense of self," she told UK TV show Lorraine.
