(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan hopes to win an Oscar in the next six years.
The actress has been beset by legal problems recently. She was found in violation of her probation on Friday as well as being sentenced to four months in jail in a Los Angeles court, for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace. She must also complete 480 hours of community service, some of which will reportedly take place in the Los Angeles County Department of Coroners facility.
The sentence comes after Lindsay was jailed last year for probation issues, and also spent time in rehab. She has spoken about her struggles on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, explaining she now wants to focus on her career.
Asked where she sees herself in six years time, the 24-year-old replied: Hopefully sitting here after I've won an Oscar. That would be ideal.
Lindsay will appear in upcoming mob movie Gotti: Three Generations and is excited about the film. She admitted being worried shed struggle to find work due to her legal problems, which is why the picture means so much to her.
I made a lot of poor decisions in the past, she said. And Im dealing with the consequences of those decisions. So, yeah, there were times when I was concerned [about getting work], but Im a fighter. And I know I have to work to gain the respect back. And Im willing to do the work that I have to do to follow through with being an actress.
Lindsay called last Fridays sentence a wake-up call but didnt condemn in. Although she admits being shocked when the judge ruled she needed to be imprisoned, Lindsay understands why it happened. I think I was treated the way I should be treated, she said, before adding, Good Friday. Not so good for me!
The star also took time to praise her amazing mother Dina, but refused to discuss her father Michael, who she has a difficult relationship with. (C) Cover Media
