Lindsay Lohan back in rehab

29th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan has voluntarily checked into in-patient rehab.

The troubled star was taken into custody on Friday when Judge Elden Fox denied Lindsay bail after she failed two random court-ordered drug tests. However, following an appeal from Lindsays legal team a judge later threw out the original ruling and the star walked free from the Lynwood Correctional Facility later that night.

She has been ordered to wear a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet and avoid visiting places where alcohol is the chief item of sale.

Since she was released there has been intense speculation the star was planning to go rehab, with Lindsay reportedly telling friends shes prepared to do whatever she has to in order to get well.

According to website TMZ, the 24-year-old checked into a facility in Southern California yesterday. Further details of the rehab are unknown, although it is thought the star will stay there at least until her next court date on October 22.

Lindsay has completed several stints in rehab before, including being treated at the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center, Wonderland Center and Promises Treatment Center.

Earlier this year, she spent 13 days in jail and 23 days in rehab after she violated the terms of her 2007 conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). Upon leaving rehab she had to submit to a number of rules including random drug tests, but failed two. She is believed to have tested positive for cocaine and Adderall, a drug taken for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Judge Fox has previously told Lindsay failing a test would land her in prison for 30 days, meaning she could be incarcerated later this month.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed Lindsay is in the running to play a sexy CIA agent in a new movie called Escaping the Game. She is said to be keen on the role, and film bosses think she is the perfect fit.

From the title alone you can only imagine that this film is right up her alley, the projects writer-and-producer Nathan Folks told FOX News Pop Tarts. "We believe that Lindsay is perfect for the role, and because of her experience as a tormented starlet, she is ideal to play the role in this very high concept story. She has what it takes to pull it off. (C) Cover Media
