(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan will appear in Gotti: Three Generations and plans to use the film to clear up misinterpretations about herself.
The troubled star had been widely tipped to play mob boss John Gottis daughter Victoria in the upcoming release, but yesterday it was claimed she would not be involved with the movie.
However, Lindsay has now confirmed she will shoot the picture, but is playing a different part. The 24-year-old will portray Kim Gotti, who is Johns daughter-in-law.
I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do, she told Associated Press.
I think it's such an iconic story. I'm honoured to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci.
John will play the legendary gangster in the film, which is slated for release in 2013. Joe has landed the role of Angelo Ruggiero.
Producer Marc Fiore had previously sung Lindsays praises, explaining he wanted to work with her on two mob movies. However, yesterday he said she was no longer being considered for Gotti: Three Generations as hed been unable to agree terms with her management.
Lindsay was apparently devastated the plan had fallen through, so personally spoke to movie bosses to ensure she was involved in the release.
She was definitely out as of earlier today, but she really wanted the part, Marc confirmed to People.
She not only is back in the movie, but she single-handedly put it all together. She called me personally and put her team on it and we came to an agreement. She played a real leadership role.
He added she will star in his other gangster film, Mob Street, too, playing the spouse of the main character Bobby Bataglia. (C) Cover Media
