(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been compelled to remove "people that are bad for her" from her inner circle.
The actress was released from house arrest this week after she was sentenced to jail time following her no contest plea to stealing a $2,500 necklace. She was allowed to serve her time at home due to jail overcrowding. Lindsay has apparently been reflecting on her recent situation and is said to have concluded that she is surrounded by a multitude of bad influences. Her high-profile Hollywood team of publicists, agents and lawyers agree.
"Lindsay has surrounded herself with a group of people that are bad for her, period," a source tells RadarOnline.com. "These people are trying to make a quick buck off of Lindsay, and making deals without Lindsay's approval, nor her agents at ICM or her business agent, Lou Taylor."
A big part of the problem is Lindsay's inability to dismiss requests and poor advice from her "friends". Her soft heart makes it difficult to simply decline.
"Lindsay has a hard time saying no to her friends, but that is now beginning to change," the source added.
With the realisation that her posse is doing more harm in her life than good, Lindsay's primary focus right now is getting back on top of her professional game.
"Lindsay wants to get back to work, plain and simple. She doesn't understand why trouble always seems to find her. Her advisors are emphasising to Lindsay that it's the company she is keeping. [Lindsay] is now beginning to realise that her friends are doing more harm than good for her," the insider explained.
In the months ahead, Lindsay must complete several hours of community service as part of her sentence. She will formally return to work on a John Gotti biopic in January of 2012. (C) Cover Media
