Bollywood's gen-next stars are very cordial and open with each other when it comes to relationships. Gone are the days when former lovers refused to look into each others' eyes let alone socialize.

But times are changing fast. These days, stars are not only comfortable with their ex-es but also go to an extent to call them good friends.

The classic example of the famous trend is Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. They had an ugly break up and a public fallout followed the heartbreak.

But within a year of that, the two not only buried their personal hatchet but also revived their relationship as best friends. They worked together and started socializing again, this despite of being in relationship with other people. 

Former rumoured couple Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh too maintain cordial relationship with each other. But one star who refuses to abide by this new law of Btown relationships is Shahid Kapoor who claims that he cannot be friends with his ex-es.

Shahid whose highly popular relationships with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra ended on a bad note, wasn't on talking terms with the two mentioned Bollywood actresses for a very long time.

But of lately, he has been cordial with them on social dos. While Kareena and Shahid exchanged pleasantries with each other on stage at a award function, with Priyanka his equation has been social for a very long time. 

Recently, there were rumours that when Shahid spotted PC shooting in an adjacent studio, he had locked himself in his vanity van as he wanted to avoid crossing paths with his ex-girlfriend. Though Shahid refused this rumour, he confessed that he cannot be friends with his past girlfriends.

"I know some people who have been in relationships and remain good friends later. But I've found it difficult in most of my relationships. There have been some - with whom I was in a relationship - and with whom I am friendly. But most of the times I've found it tough. May be someday I will get better," smiles an optimistic Shahid.
