Lindsay Lohan is rigorously defending herself against a new lawsuit.

Paparazzo Grigor Baylan is suing the Mean Girls star claiming that a car she was riding in ran over his foot.

The lawsuit was filed against Lindsay, Paola Demara and Tri Star Sports Entertainment.

But RadarOnline reports that the 25-year-old has told her inner circle that she is confident the claims will be dismissed because she hasn't done anything wrong.

"Lindsay wasn't even driving the car," a source told the site. "She sees this paparazzo as an opportunist that is trying to make quick money and using her to do so."

"Lindsay is going to vigorously defend herself, and is hopeful that the lawsuit will be dismissed. Lindsay is considering taking legal action against him for naming her in the lawsuit.

"If this person thinks he is going to be cut and check and paid to go away, he is living on another planet."

The photographer says in the legal paperwork that he has suffered damages of at least $25,000.
