Lindsay Lohan insists she is "all right" after being hospitalised with a lung infection.

The actress has reportedly been battling walking pneumonia over the last few weeks. On Sunday the illness worsened and she was taken to The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.

The 26-year-old was given antibiotics to treat a lung infection and was then discharged.

"I got sick again, but I am all right," she told New York Times.

News of Lindsay's illness first hit the headlines when she was due to shoot her cameo in Scary Movie 5. It was claimed she was sick and might not be able to get to the set, with reports she even missed a flight.

She was also said to be upset that the script poked fun at her tumultuous personal life. However, on Saturday night the star insisted she'd had a great time working with Charlie Sheen, who appears in the scene with her.

"I have been really sick with pneumonia but I have been working. I have been shooting Scary Movie with Charlie Sheen. He was really great to work with and gave me some good advice about surviving in this business," she said.

Lindsay and her friends attended an outdoor DJ set in Central Park on Saturday night. They watched DJ Steve Angello play and tried to leave before a huge storm broke, but sources claims Lindsay still got wet.
