Names from Bollywood fraternity such as Sonali Bendre, Irrfan Khan, Tahira Khurrana are battling cancer as we know. Sonali has been keeping her fans updated with her progress and her bravery is something to look out for. However, it was yesterday when Hrithik Roshan's father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan suffering from throat cancer. The good news that the film-maker has had a successful surgery and is recovering fast.

Confirming the same to a leading daily senior Roshan in text said, "All procedures went very well & I am on fast track recovery." Hrithik in a post yesterday had announced the sad news with a picture of the father-son duo. 

PM Narendra Modi had expressed his concern and wrote, "Dear Hrithik, praying for the good health of Shri Rakesh Roshan Ji. He is a fighter and I am sure he will face this challenge with utmost courage." While Manisha Koirala on her book launch event in Mumbai had said: "I can say only one thing that there is a way out. One should not give up because there is treatment available to this disease. I am sure he will come out of it as winner and I will pray to god that he comes out of it as a winner."
