(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan has registered for community service following her sentencing last week.
The actress, who will be punished for taking a $2,500 necklace from a designer store in Los Angeles, was given 120 days in prison and 480 hours of community service.
The 24-year-old reportedly wants to start working off her sentence this week, American website TMZ.com reports.
Lindsays lawyer Shawn Holley was spotted at the Volunteer Center in West Los Angeles to register the star for community service.
Lindsay is believed to be placed at a Womens Centre in downtown LA where, according to TMZ, she will be given tasks to fit her skills.
The website previously reported that the centre runs theatre workshops, which might be suited to the former Disney stars acting talent.
The troubled actress opened up about the sentencing during a TV interview earlier this week and admitted she had made some bad decisions in the past.
While she admitted she found the result of her court battle "shocking", Lindsay also said she was ready to take responsibility for her actions and regretted the bad example she was giving to her young admirers.
I feel like Ive let a lot of my fans down by putting myself in situations when I was young and not thinking clearly, she told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show on Tuesday. (C) Cover Media
