August 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Lionel Richie is a family friend of the Jacksons and according to him; MJ's kids might still have good shot at a normal life. The legendary singer passed away last year, leaving his three kids Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and an eight-year old Blanket, under the custody of their grandmother Katherine.
During MJ's lifetime the three kids were home-tutored so that they can stay away from public eye and have a normal childhood; however Katherine feels that the kids are better off at a public high School. The high school education will surely give these kids the peer support and social interacting skills, which will help them to become responsible adults. This is an especially hard time for the three children and they will need the support of friends to get through the mess.
Prince and Paris spent their first day at school on August 25. Lionel Richie is sure that the kids will adapt really fast in their new environment. While talking to Britain's Sun, Richie said that he will always be there for his friend's children. He further added that the kids will have chance to mix with boys and girls of their age and make friends. Being the King of Pop's Kids is hard and Paris and Prince will surely live up to their father's expectations.
