Lohan files Pitbull lawsuit

19th August 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan has filed a lawsuit against rapper Pitbull.

The troubled American star has condemned the popular music artist for lyrics in his hit single Give Me Everything.

The provocative line in the song which reads: Hustlers move aside, so I'm tiptoein', to keep flowin'/ I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan' has Lindsay claiming that the lyrics will impair her professionally and possibly personally.

She states in her documentation that "the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff."

Lindsay is especially upset about how the lyrics paint her as an actress.

The star believes that her reputation is important, and states in her filings that she is "a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes."

Ultimately Lindsay is looking for the song to be taken off the air. She is seeking an injunction issued by the court to prevent the song from being broadcast.

Lawyer Stephanie Ovadia, who has served as Lindsay's counsel before, filed the lawsuit.

Co-writers of the song, Ne-Yo and Afrojack are co-defendants.

All three stars have yet to comment on the lawsuit. (C) Cover Media
