Madhur Bhandarkar is furious

15th August 2011

After the recent hassle of Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’ many noted Bollywood film-makers have raised their voice against this suppression of freedom of expression. One of them is Madhur Bhandarkar. Madhur Bhandaraker, who himself has been combating controversies since his debut, is striving hard to come to terms with this unethical rage over movies.

Like others, he too was furious when ‘Aarakshan’ was banned in three major states of India. Madhur even stated that with political rage mounting on every other film in India,  film-makers will be left with no option but to make ‘cartoon’ films. He tweeted, "It is really sad that states are banning  Aarakshan'. Should we filmmakers, from now on, start making cartoon films?"

Apart from ‘Aarakshan’ other Bollywood films like ‘My Name Is Khan’ & ‘Kurbaan’ too have been political victims of the so-called moral police of the nation.
