Manisha Koirala, Nepali-Indian actress, has been off the celluloid for quite some time now as her last appearance was a short stint in Director Onir's film 'I am'. Now the actress will don a bigger responsibility as she plans to turn a director for her film based on the life of 'Gautama Buddha'. The actress is inspired by him and so she wants to pay a tribute to his life by making a film based on it. Manisha is believed to be busy finalizing the finer details of the film as a director and will soon return to Mumbai to commence the work on the film.
The film is still in its early stage as the necessary changes in the scripts are being done. While the film is directed by Manisha, it will be produced by a Sri-Lanka based producer and it will be shot in Sri-Lanka as well.
