Actor and director Manivannan is gearing up to wield the megaphone, after a gap of 11 years. His 50th directorial venture is a sequel to his 1994 blockbuster 'Amaidhi Padai'.
Titled 'Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA' (the name of the character played by Sathyaraj in the original), the movie features Sathyaraj and Seeman in the lead roles.
New comer Miruthula, Komal Sharma and Varsha play will be seen playing the female leads. Manivannan and his son Raghu are also a part of the cast.
D. Sankar cranks the camera while James Vasanthan is composing the tunes. S. Ravichandran and K. Suresh are producing the movie under V House Production.
The director has planned to complete the entire shoot in and around Coimbatore at a quick pace.
