Marc Anthony has filed for divorce from estranged wife Jennifer Lopez.

The pair separated last July and appear to have maintained an amicable relationship even working on a Latin talent show together.

But TMZ reports that the singer submitted paperwork on April 9 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court to formally end their seven year marriage.

Marc is requesting that he gets joint legal and physical custody of the couple's four-year-old twins, Max and Emme.

He also stated in the documents that he does not want to pay Jennifer spousal support if she asks for it.

This will be Jennifer's third divorce and Marc's second marriage failure.

Jennifer is now dating 25-year-old backing dancer Casper Smart who she cavorts with in her new music video Dance Again.
