(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew Fox has filed a countersuit against a woman who alleges that he assaulted her.

Heather Bormann, 29, claimed in her own lawsuit back in September that the former Lost star tried to get on to the party bus she was driving in Ohio and things turned ugly.

The mother-of-three alleges that Fox hit her after she told him to get out of her vehicle and struck her in her breast, arm leg, and private parts.

But the 45-year-old actor has fired back claiming that Bormann made the story up and it is affecting his career.

Fox alleges in legal documents obtained by TMZ that he has been subjected to "public hatred, contempt, ridicule and shame," because of the negative press he has received and he has lost work because of it.

He is now suing for unspecified damages.

Bormann admits that she hit Fox but it was only in self defence.

"I took one hand to his jaw and he was spitting blood. He stumbled backwards," she claimed. "This was my self-defence. This was the only way I could protect myself from a man beating up on a woman." (C) Cover Media
