(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mel C's top parenting tip is to "stay naked until you walk out the door".

The former Spice Girl and her partner Thomas Starr have daughter Scarlet Starr together. The star gave birth in 2009, and has since learned about the joys of motherhood the hard way.

Mel has revealed her top tip for staying clean while juggling a tot and busy career.

"My top parenting tip is to stay naked until you literally walk out the door," she told more! magazine. "The amount of times I've been working and looked down to find a big pile of snot on my top... So now I get dressed as I walk out the door."

Mel loves being a mother. The 37-year-old says although being so busy is tough she wouldn't change it for anything.

"Being a mum is the hardest job in the world, all mums will tell you that," she revealed. "But when you get home after a hard day and you see that lovely little face, or you get woken up in the morning with a massive cuddle, it's totally worth it."

Mel's former band mate Victoria Beckham recently gave birth to daughter Harper Seven. She also has sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Mel says Victoria and the rest of her former bandmates, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel B, are always on hand to offer advice.

"Yeah!" she said when asked if she's been getting parenting advice from Victoria.

"All us girls share ideas. When you're pregnant, or when you're a new mum, everyone's full of advice." (C) Cover Media
