(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mel Gibson's stepmother Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson wants the actor to pay her legal bills.

Teddy is married to the Hollywood star's father Hutton Gibson and alleges that Mel's actions caused them to split.

TMZ reports that that Teddy filed legal documents in L.A. County Superior Court asking a judge to make Mel a party in the divorce proceedings.

The documents claim that Mel was the driving force behind Hutton's decision to end the marriage and to kick Teddy out of the marital home.

Mel is apparently paying Hutton's legal bills and Teddy wants the wealthy Australian star to cover her expenses too which she estimates will be around $65,000.

Teddy had earlier sought a restraining order against Mel claiming he spit on her and shouted at her.

She also wants $15,000 a month in spousal support from her estranged husband although that would be a cost likely covered by the Mad Max actor. (C) Cover Media
