(Cover) - EN Star Style - Celebrity hairstylist Michael Barnes says he would love to give Russell Brand a makeover.

The hairdresser to the stars is one of the UKs most respected hairdressers and has worked on the tresses of celebrities including actress Keira Knightley and model Lily Cole. The hair expert who boasts a salon on Londons Shaftesbury Avenue - has revealed that in his opinion, Russells look is very out-dated.

Russell Brands hair is too messy and really old fashioned, he looks like hes in Camden in 80s, he told Cover Media.

However, Michael has admitted that he appreciates the style of Russells wife, Katy Perry. He says that the pop songstress is sexy and suits a specific look.

Her hair looks nice. I think shes really sexy, but it really depends on how shes made up and what shes wearing. She suits the burlesque style, he explained.

Michael has revealed he would love to style fashion-forward Gwen Stefani too. He says that he would take inspiration from Lady Gaga in order to re-work and update her bleached style.

I like Gwen Stefani. Id like to do her hair. Id make it slightly more avant-garde, a bit like Lady Gaga but not quite as edgy. I like nice bleached hair, he added. (C) Cover Media
