The Canadian crooner loves the festive season, but knows he can be hard to buy presents for. The star purchases anything he wants himself, so has told loved ones to concentrate on getting him the kind of things he has little interest in searching for.

Honestly? Socks and nice underwear, he replied, when asked what is on his Christmas list. Look, I can buy whatever I want, and I do. I am so blessed in that regard. I really just want things I dont want to go out and buy myself. I love putting on a nice pair of new, white, comfy socks. Im not an angel. I have my demons, and trust me if I want something, Ill buy it. But I love giving more than I like receiving.

Michael is engaged to Argentinean actress Luisana Lopilato, and they are planning to wed next year. He finds it difficult to shop for her at Christmas time, so tries to come up with gifts which are more personal. Last year he penned her a love letter, which she says is one of her most treasured items.

The singer is such a fan of the festive season he is planning to release a Christmas album next year. It will include cover versions of his favourite tracks, and he cant wait to see what people make of it.
