(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Douglas insists he is feeling "great".

The 66-year-old actor was treated for stage four throat cancer last year, and despite still undergoing monthly check-ups, is on the road to recovery.

Michael is feeling much better after his health problems.

"[I] feel great!" he told OK! magazine, before thanking everyone for their well wishes.

Michael has been enjoying himself since been given the all-clear in January. The Oscar-winning star had a great day at the US Open in New York last Saturday, accompanied by wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 41.

"That was unbelievable," he said.

Michael was speaking at the Michael Kors show at New York Fashion Week yesterday. The Hollywood star likes to support his talented fashionista friend.

"He's a lovely guy, just a treat to watch how his mind kind of expanded and grown," he said. "He's got a good sense of humour and he does a beautiful job and he doesn't take it seriously. He works hard but it is fashion. Life has to go on."

Michael spoke of his recovery earlier this summer. The veteran actor is working hard on getting his body back to a healthy condition.

"I'm still working on regaining weight and improving my conditioning, but it's coming along well. The most important thing is the cancer is gone and hasn't come back for the first year after my treatment I have to have it checked each month, but the doctors are very positive," he previously revealed.

Catherine is also doing well, after she was treated for bipolar II disorder at a psychiatric hospital earlier this year. (C) Cover Media
