(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Douglas has a "clean bill of health".

The 67-year-old actor was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010. The disease is now in remission and Michael is optimistic about his physical wellness.

"I feel good! I've got a clean bill of health," Michael told Extra on the red carpet at Santa Barbara Film Festival Thursday, which he attended with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Michael lost nearly 25lbs. while battling the malignant growth in his throat through chemotherapy and radiation. The treatments took a toll on his body, but the actor is getting better gradually.

"I'm putting [the weight] on slowly, gettin' back... still a few pounds light," Michael said. "Lean is good... lean photographs better."

Catherine is happy with how the actor is recovering physically. She is proud of how well he's looking.

"I think he looks great," Catherine interjected.

Catherine and Michael were married in 2000. Together for over a decade, Michael cannot imagine being with anyone else.

"No [I never get tired of waking up next to Catherine]. I never plan on it either," Michael declared.

Recuperation and family are top priorities for Michael. His acting career is of similar importance and although he has been recovering from his illness, the actor is still pursuing projects.

Michael will star in the film Liberace opposite Matt Damon. Matt plays Michael's homosexual lover in the feature. The two actors have not yet rehearsed their intimate scenes.

"No, we're going to save that! Save that for the set," Michael said.

Liberace will begin production in summer 2012. (C) Cover Media
