(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julianne Hough believes her dancing skills were inherited.

The 23-year-old actress stars in newly released dancing film Footloose. With a ballroom dancing background, Julianne has numerous skills that she brought to her role. Julianne credits the technique she has developed to her family.

"My mom and dad met on a ballroom team in college," Julianne said on the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon TV show Thursday. "It's kind of just in my family."

Julianne's family are immersed in professional dancing. The star's kin, including several of her nieces and nephews, even made a special appearance in Footloose showcasing their skills.

"Just spot the blondes [in the movie]," Julianne said.

The guest appearances by her relatives were not restricted to her siblings' children. Three of Julianne's sisters and her mom took part in a line dancing scene in the film.

It is no surprise that her Julianne's family are so involved in the feature. Growing up the actress and her family performed together in a troupe called White Lightening.

"We were like the blonde Osmonds," Julianne reminisced.

Footloose is out in US cinemas this weekend. (C) Cover Media
