Michael Jacksons kids want stage role

1st March 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Jacksons children Prince and Paris are both waiting to find out if they have a part in their school play.

The 50-year-old pop icon passed away on June 25 2009 after suffering acute Propofol intoxication, and is survived by three children; Prince, 14, Paris, 12 from his marriage to ex-wife Deborah Rowe- and eight-year-old Blanket who was born via a surrogate mother.

He was always considered to be one of the most talented performers on the planet, and it appears his two eldest kids have inherited his love for the stage.

Paris had already spoken of her desire to appear in a production of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales at her school, and is has now been revealed Prince also auditioned for a part.

Prince wants in on the action too... because they both officially tried out last week, reported TMZ.

Paris and Prince have been praised for their mature attitude since the passing of their father, and in a recent appearance on Good Morning America with their younger brother and grandmother Katherine Jackson they discussed life without their father.

Paris expressed her desire to be an actress, while Prince has admitted he would like to work in showbiz too.

The show both siblings have auditioned for is reportedly going to be called The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, and will feature a combination of classic fairy tales such as Snow White and Cinderella.

TMZ think Prince and Paris have a good chance of landing a role as there are apparently nearly 50 different characters in the play.

In other Jackson family news, it has been revealed lawyers for Dr. Conrad Murray have urged for the involuntary manslaughter trial into Michaels death not to be delayed for financial reasons. The doctor is accused of administering the drug Propofol to the singer leading to his death, with the case due to begin on March 24. The Associated Press reports Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor as saying the trial could be pushed back, although apparently the doctors legal team have now appealed to maintain the original start date as they "don't have the budget" for a long court process.
