(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Sheen has been tipped to play a super-villain in the new James Bond movie.
Producers for the legendary spy franchise reportedly believe the 41-year-old British actor would be the perfect choice to take on the role of Blofeld.
Blofeld is an evil genius, and the archenemy of Bond. The character previously appeared in a host of movies in the franchise including Thunderball, Diamonds are Forever, From Russia with Love and For Your Eyes Only. He usually features in scenes where he was stroking his white Persian cat, and is regularly voted one of the top villains of all time. Producer Barbara Broccoli reportedly thinks Sheen could accurately portray the sinister character.
He brings a really intense and creepy quality to the table, a source told British newspaper The Daily Mirror.
Peter Morgan, who has previously worked with Sheen and produced an early screenplay for the new Bond movie, is said to have recommended him for the role.
Daniel Craig will reprise his part as the suave secret agent for the third time, while Dame Judi Dench is also expected to return as M. It is not yet known who will play the new Bond Girl.
The 23rd instalment in the franchise is scheduled to hit cinemas in November 2012. (C) Cover Media
