(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Maroon 5 and Keri Hilson are set to perform a tribute song for Quentin Tarantino at an awards ceremony.
The musicians will play Son of a Preacher Man from one of the directors most iconic films, Pulp Fiction, during the Critics Choice Movie Awards, according to ET Online.
The highly acclaimed 47-year-old director is being honoured with the first ever Critics Choice Music & Film Career Award at the ceremony, and the musicians wanted to play a part in celebrating his great works.
Maroon 5, the events house band, and Keri are huge fans of some of the masterminds films, which include controversial creations such as Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill and box office hits like Inglourious Basterds.
The special award was created to honour a filmmaker who has created inspirational films accompanied by a brilliant use of source and soundtrack music.
"Throughout his career, [Tarantino] has truly harnessed the power of a single song and created unforgettable, heart-breaking, exhilarating and always dynamic moments that remain in the minds of his audience," the press release said.
The awards show will air live on VH1 on Friday. (C) Cover Media
