(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cory Monteith was excited to escort his girlfriend Lea Michele to Chrysalis Butterfly Ball this weekend.

The two stars appear in US TV show Glee, where their characters are romantically involved. Cory and Lea began dating in real life earlier this year.

The pair did not walk out onto the red carpet together at the Chrysalis gala, but Cory made it clear that they would unite inside.

"It's a bit of a date night, yeah," Cory told E! Online.

Canadian actor Cory just came back from holiday and had an amazing time abroad.

"It was amazing," he said. "I drove from here to Vancouver then I went to Tokyo and then I drove back from Vancouver to here."

It appears that the couple are more comfortable with being open about their relationship in public.

Cory and Lea shared the same table and were snuggling throughout the affair.
