Michelle Rodriguez eager to protect veneers

10th March 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michelle Rodriguez is eternally grateful her veneers didnt smash when she got hit in the face by a gun on the set of her new movie.

The actress appears in new film Battle: Los Angeles, which follows the dramatic events that occur when an alien race wages war on earth. Michelle was one of the few women on set, and was happy to get stuck in with the action sequences. She enjoyed shooting them, but admits she was constantly suffering injuries on set.

My knee popped out of place a couple of times because I have no ACL (anterior cruciate ligament)," she explained. "You have 30lbs. of gear and then on top that you've got your gun and there's a lot of running around...[And] I did get the butt of the gun in my teeth a couple of times,

"Thank God, it didn't ruin the veneers!"

Battle: Los Angeles also stars Aaron Eckhart, Ne-Yo and Ramon Rodriguez, and the set was full of testosterone. Unfortunately it was also full of something far more unpleasant, as all the men were on special diets to help them beef up.

It's awesome [being one of a few women on set]. But I could do without the protein-shake farts, she laughed to E! Online. No, no, no. No, [Aaron] didn't. But a lot of the other boys did." (C) Cover Media
