(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mila Kunis says her relationship with Macaulay Culkin wasnt all butterflies and rainbows.

The actress dated the Home Alone star for eight years before they announced they had split earlier this month. It has been claimed the pair broke up months ago, but chose to keep it a secret while Mila was promoting her new movie Black Swan.

Before the split was made public, Mila was interviewed about her romance and admitted it was hard work at times to be in a relationship.

Im not going to say its all butterflies and rainbows, you have to want to work at it, she told British magazine Look. We both love each other and care about each other.

The 27-year-old star struggles to balance her career and her personal life and she went on to reveal she does her best to keep them separate. Mila revealed it can be draining when her job impacts her love life and she rarely discussed work with Macaulay.

We keep our careers and personal live separate and I think in this industry its important not to mix the two, because it would be draining on any relationship, she added. (C) Cover Media
