Actor and model Milind Soman made the entire nation proud as he successfully completed the 'Ironman Triathlon' held in Zurich, Switzerland on July 19.

The 50 year old actor completed the triathlon which needed to be completed within 16 hours, in 15 hours and 19 minutes. The triathlon is considered one of the toughest races in the world as it includes a 3.8 km swim, a 180.2km cycle ride and a 42.2km run and all three without a break.

On achieving this milestone at his age, a visibly overwhelmed Milind said, "If you are sufficiently aware and monitor your body’s response at every stage in terms of nutrition and pace, it will all come together. I wanted to gift myself something special in my 50th year and I am glad I could do this."
