There was absolute chaos at the presentation of the 2009-2010 Kannada film awards presented by government of Karnataka recently. It was a preposterous event that was full of mistakes. Firstly, with many of the awards left to be handed out, the ministers left. This left the recipients fuming, for they expected to receive the honors from the ministers themselves.

The political tension was growing over Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, who currently is under pressure. His speech too was not up to the mark. With him leaving along with all his colleagues, the winners Yogish and Radhika Pandit felt unhappy.

Actress Lakshmi, Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa and Soori did not turn up to receive the honor. V. Ravichandran was the only one who thanked government and assured that 'Manjina Hani' will be liked by all.

Actress Thara, RN Sudarshan, Baby Anvitha, Akankahs Badami, Vyasa Rao, Yash, Meghana Gaonkar, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Chetan, Nanditha, Dilipraj, Muddu Mohan, Rishika, Nagachandrika, Avinash Chabbi were part of the cultural program.

The anchors too were disappointing, as they failed to put up a good show with poor co-ordination and chemistry. Sandhya and Ramakrishna were the chosen ones, who hosted the show that didn't impress many.
