Kudumbasree Travels is a Mollywood offering by debutant director Kiran, who has earlier directed many TV shows. The movie has recently got a U certificate from the Censor Board and is releasing to 55 screens throughout Kerala.
Jayaram plays the male lead Aravindan, who is a family member of Chakkiyar kooth, which is an art form in Kerala. Jayaram will be seen sans his trademark moustache to give authentic look to his character of a chakkiyar. He lives in a remote rural place called Chithirapuram village, where people have never seen any kind of modern facilities. Hardly few of them have seen the glimpse of a town in their life.
However, they got the opportunity when Aravindan has to go to town to get married to a rich lady called Awathy. They all start journey by the only bus service from the village Kudumbasee Travels. The innocent villagers are excited about this journey.
The story has also two other important supporting characters, one is Aravindans friend Nittar (played by Manian Pillai) and the other is his uncle Pachu (Jagathy Sreekumar). They dont want Aravindan to get married to that girl and try to prevent the marriage. Actually, Pachu wants him to tie the knot with his daughter.
The entry of Bhavanas character Sreedevi brings twist in the story. She meets the marriage party, who do not have any idea about who she is. Now, the focus of the story is shifted to her mystery and soon a romance develops between her and Aravindan.
You need to watch the movie to know what happens after that.
