Stunning & Shocking

After promising a lot with stills and trailers, Manchu Manoj's magnum opus Uu Kodatara? Ulikki Padatara? is finally here in cinema halls.

Though it reminds one of Magadheera and Arundhathi, the film is impressive thanks to its storyline, grandeur and performance by Manoj and Balakrishna.

Balakrishna's role is almost like an extended cameo, but he adds immense value to the film with his royal look and stunning performance. Manoj is another pillar for the movie.

Rayudu (Prabhu) rents out his ancestral property Gandharva Mahal. When he plans to marry off his elder daughter, the bridegroom's family demands Gandharva Mahal as dowry.

Meanwhile, a youngster (Manoj) rents a bachelor room at Gandharva Mahal. Some mysterious things take place. The edifice has a past and it is safeguarded by the soul of Narasimha Rayudu (Balakrishna).

The flashback scenes are the highpoint of the movie. Good usage of graphics and sharp dialogues elevate the film. Manoj's performance is excellent and it will be no exaggeration if we say he has attained stardom with this film.

Others in the cast, including Deeksha Seth, Lakshmi Manchu and Prabhu, are adequate. Bobo Shashi's songs are good, while background score by Salim-Sulaiman adds to the suspense factor.

Sekhar Raja, who has penned the story and screenplay besides wielding the megaphone has done a commendable job. On the whole, Uu Kodatara? Ulikki Padatara? is like old wine which is brewed fine.
