It was at the success bash of 'Murder 2' that the Bhatt camp announced yet another sequel to the film. They had announced that they will commence work on 'Murder 3' and will release it sometime in early 2013.

The makers stood true to their promise as they have not only started the film, but have also confirmed the release date for it already.

'Murder 3', the third installment of the franchise that began its journey with 'Murder' in 2004 will not have its protagonists Emraan Hashmi who did the previous two films. Instead, it stars Randeep Hooda and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead. 

The shooting of the film has already begun and it is being directed by film's producer Mukesh Bhatt's son Vishesh.

Mukesh not only revealed the release date, but also confessed that the film is indeed special for him. "Murder 3 will release a day after Valentine's Day next year that is 15th February 2013. We are excited to offer the latest film in the Murder franchise to the audiences. It is close to me since my son Vishesh makes his directorial debut with it," he confirmed.

For 'Murder 3', the franchise has yet again joined hands with Fox Studios which had also collaborated with them on 'Raaz 3'.

"With the third offering we aim to raise the bar. We are very happy to associate with Vishesh Films yet again and hope to recreate the 'Raaz 3' magic," said Vijay Singh, CEO Fox Star Studios India.
