Myna, Va Quarter Cutting andamp; Uthama Puthiran To Release On Diwali

October 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kamal Haasans 'Manmadhan Ambu' and Vijays 'Kaavalan' backing off from the Diwali release race, the medium and low budget movies are on its way of hitting screens on this festive occasion. Dhanush-Genelia D Souza starrer 'Uthama Puthiran', a remake of Telugu movie 'Ready' is directed by Jawahar Mithran. The filmmaker has already remade couple of Telugu blockbusters with the same actor titled 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and 'Kutty'. If this turns to be a hit film, then Mithran-Dhanush are sure to join the league of successful remake duo combos like Ravi-Raja.

Durai Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions has finally decided to postpone 'Rattha Charithram' and will release 'Va Quarter Cutting' for Diwali. Touted to be a comedy-thriller with lots twists in the plot, the film features Shiva, VJ turned actress Lekha Washington and SP Charan. The songs by G.V. Prakash are already chartbusters; especially the number 'Unnai Kan Thedudhe' has topped the charts.

Following the grand success of 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya', 'Madharasapattinam' and 'Boss Engira Baskaran', producer Udhayanidhi Stalin is all set for the release of 'Myna'. The film is produced by Shalom Productions and is directed by Prabhu Solomon. Featuring newcomers in lead roles, 'Udhayanidhi' is sure to strike gold in box office. He has been carrying out the promotional campaign through a special way of screening film for famous personalities of film industry and getting their word-of-mouth feedback for publicity.

Trade analysts have predicted there are two more release to be confirmed for Diwali.
