Nagesh Kukunoor's children film, 'Dhanak' is soaring high with awards. The film received two honors at Berlinale and now, the film bagged Best Film Award in the main category – Children's Feature Film Competition at the Cinema in Sneakers Children's Festival in Poland.

Elated Kukunoor said, "Every time we win an award, it makes us feel good as it is a validation from another part of the world. When we won an award in Berlin, it was truly gratifying that my vision has reached a good and satisfying end. It states a new beginning."

The film stars Hetal Gada and Krrish Chhabria in lead roles whose story revolve around  little girl Pari's endeavour at getting her brother’s eyesight restored.

The film is co-produced by Manish Mundra, Kukunoor and Elahe Hiptoola.
