New York Indian Film Festival's hit gossip is that Kalki Koechlin has been honored for her extraordinary role in Shonali Bose's 'Margarita With A Straw'.
She bagged best actress award for the film. Aditya Vikram Sengupta's 'Labour of Love' received top three awards in Best film, Best director and Best screenplay category at the 15th edition og NYIFF.
Other winners included Margarita With A Straw, Haraamkhor, Kaaka Muttai and Daughters of Mother India.
NYIFF director, Aroon Shivdasani expressed, "We are so proud of our award-winning filmmakers and all the filmmakers who have showcased quality, independent cinema at our festival over the past week."
