Shankar's 'Nanban' starring Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth and Ileana D'Cruz in lead roles is fast progressing now. The film started rolling before a month in Ooty following which a small break was taken by the actors so as to complete their other projects. Now the entire team got together for a day and night shoots at Dehradun. Much before Vijay would join the sets, Shankar didn't want to waste the time and shot the portions involving Srikanth, SJ Suryah, Jeeva, Sathyaraj and Ileana D'Cruz. Now Jeeva and Srikanth have completed their portions of first schedule. Right now Vijay and Ileana are shooting their portions at Dehradun. Harris Jayaraj has composed 7 songs for this album and he has made it clear that none of the songs from '3 Idiots' has retained here.
