Even as "Nanban" is hitting the screens in a big way today, Vijay fans have an extra reason to feel happy about. For the film's producers Gemini Industries & Imaging have announced that "Nanban's post production was done on 4k digital resolution.
In a statement to the media, Gemini said, 'For the first time in South India and may be in India an entire film post production has been done in true 4K digital resolution and this sets a sort of standard in the industry.'
The release further said, 'Nanban" was scanned on state of the art ARRI film scanner at 4K, the Digital grading DI process was done on uncompressed 4k real-time on Quantel Pablo DI (Digital Intermediate) system, the same system that was used in the Hollywood blockbuster 3D stereoscopy film "Avatar". The computer graphics was done by Gemini FX on 4k and finally the images were recorded using the Oscar winning ARRI laser 2 film recorder.'
Meanwhile, Vijay fans all over Tamil Nadu have been celebrating the release of "Nanban" by bursting crackers and doing milk abhishekams to the actor'sphotographs in front of theatres. Directed by Shankar, "Nanban" also has Jiiva and Srikanth in lead roles.
